The Mayor was braver than I would be by choosing to relive a memory in front of a crowd of people. Who knows what you might say out loud?

Renee Palmer's black outfit made me think of Mrs. Peel from The Avengers. (The real one from the 60's TV show, not the film.)

Ooops. Forgot some.

At the end, why did Liam try so hard to get his gun instead of using his shakariva? Has he lost this ability?

They're talking about trying to prove Sandoval was behind all this, but what would have happened if Liam or Renee had just shot Sandoval at the end instead of letting him walk away?

So, why is Zo'Or so interested in Palmer's memories? And what did he do to Sandoval at the end there?

I got to see it this morning. It was OK, I guess. More to come.

When Liam wears his dress uniform to visit the VA Hospital there are two things wrong. First, Liam is a Major, but he is wearing a Colonel's cover. Second, soldiers are supposed to uncover when entering a hospital out of respect for the sick and dying. I know these things because I used to be in the Navy.

Liam seemed very angry when he and Da'an were discussing the Commonality. I almost expected him to hit Da'an.

So Belman is Augur's new partner at the Flat Planet. This ought to be interesting.

Thanks for the military how-to John.

I really need to find the time to rewatch this one before I give my formal comments.

First EFC I've seen in a while! And, of course, I have nits:

Was Renee lying when she said that people could choose which memories to relive? If not, then:

1) The mayor was S-TUPID choosing that particular memory to relive in front of everyone. Really S-TUPID. As Keith commented, he had no way of knowing what he'd say or do while reliving.

2) Where did the bootleggers get the soldier's memory? I have a hard time believing he'd choose to relive that!

3) Why does Zo'or expect to find Renee's fears? There's no reason for her to choose those to relive.

If Renee' was lying and people can't choose their memories then there are still problems--like why would the machine be so popular? If it's random chance whether a person ends up with their best or worst memory, I don't think most people would risk it.

Also, why were the bootleggers using that particular memory? People were PAYING big money to feel having their legs blown off? I could see people paying to "be" a soldier for a while--but that soldier? Or did the bootlegger only pick that one for people he wanted to die (in which case, why Liam? and why did Sandoval give that memory out in the first place?)

And what is Sandoval up to, anyway?
