Scorched Earth

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Earth: Final Conflict: Season Three: Scorched Earth

Summary: Liam (Robert Leeshock) and Renee (Jayne Heitmeyer) learn that the Taelons secretly inhabited the Earth during the SI War and used a weapon of mass destruction to further their cause.

Watched it last night.

I rather liked this one.

The SI War finally got fleshed out kind of...

I like the bombing of Washington Embassay, if only they would follow up on it.

And for at matter Da'an and Liam are the only one's there? What happened to an ambassador's staff? Wouldn't world domination take more than one seldom present protector?

Or is it a holiday or a weekend or something and everyone is out to lunch?

Great episode! Good to Know at least 2 resistance leaders still trust Liam after the massacare in "Thicker Than Blood". Too bad Augur couldn't get his hands on the advanced holotechnology at Robillard's pad. Gene Roddenberry's quote at the end has to be the greatest line of the entire series.

By Amos on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 - 4:45 pm:

Yeah, I have to agree the Roddenberry quote at the end a highlight.

I think that is something that the writers have forgotten about over the last 3 years, Gene Roddenberry's ideas for the messages this show could have.

Ok, 5+ years have passed since the Sino-Indian War and nobody found out who fired the quantum-vortex device? Grrr, the whole thing smelled like Taelon! Where is Mr. Obvious when he's needed?

By Newt on Friday, January 05, 2001 - 8:20 am:

Well, since it happened "before" the Taelons arrived it would be silly to blame them. Kinda like blaming Hitler for the First World War.

By Electron on Friday, January 05, 2001 - 6:17 pm:

No, I meant the QV effects looked like Taelon technology.

(And there are people out there who wouldn't trust an alien even if he is already in the frying pan.)

Oh, I see your point now. Well, I'm assuming that since it was a explosive dealie that most anyone that say it would now be death.

My, oh my, the building that houses Doors International looks a lot like the Royal Bank Plaza, except with a "Doors" logo at the front.

It's actually an interesting looking building, complete with gold leaf on the windows - it is a bank, after all (my bank in fact).
