Summary
When an old friend give Sid Halley a hot tip on a longshot, Sid finds that he is far from being alone in trying to bet on the horse. So much money is being placed on Cherry Flan that bookmakers are nervous. They try to stop the betting at the track, but something is wrong. Cherry Flan wins in a close race, despitea formal inquiry. Bookies have lost a fortune and are suspicious of events. Sid is asked to investigate.
