"Mallrats" is on FX almost every other day now.
The edited for TV version sucks. Smith ande Mosier totally bash the TV version on the commentary track for the Mallrats DVD.
The TV version does but is is funny as hell. ABC did such a bad job of looping dialogue that it becomes comical (you'd think that they could have found someone who even tries to sound like Jason Mewes). And my fav:
"I like to take girls on cheap dates."
"What like the back of a volkswagon?"
That doesn't even make sense. Also good for a laugh is the TV versions of Die Hard 2 & 3 or Pulp Fiction.
Oh that's nothing. Hvae you seen Oxygen's edited-for-TV version of Chasing Amy? It replaces 'going down' with 'doing that.' And in the scene where Banky is tlaking about going out with Brandi Svenning (from Mallrats of all things, pre-T.S.) and in the flick proper he says "varied my lapping speed," but on Oxygen the line is "Vary my happy speed." I fell off the bed! I spilled my soda! That was hillarious!
Yes, TV Die Hard 3 is humourous.. they have Samuel L. Jackson saying "Melon farmer" a lot (instead of the other M.F.).
And Bruce Willis' sign reads "I hate everybody."
Haven't seen this flick in a while, my favorite of the series, but does Jason Lee's character ask how would Lois Lane's womb handle Superman's offspring? If so, it wouldn't be a problem because the fetus hasn't been in contact with sunlight. "I'm not glowing!"
