A lovely film with some wonderful moments and starring two of my favourite actresses (Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd). Great date film with some good chuckles on the way. But, as usual, there is one GLARING nit which I can't ignore.

How the heck does Novalee (Portman) sleep for 6 weeks in Wal-Mart without getting caught for crying out loud? Are you telling me that even in Texas they don't have security cameras or guards patrolling the premises? Not even a stinking burglar alarm? That's putting the country hick thing a little too far. And then when she gives birth in there (after Fornay breaks through a window to get to her) instead of a getting into trouble, they send her money!!!!!!!!! Oh puh-lease. One interesting thing though, I reckon in one scene she is patrolling the store at night and she walks past some Episode 1 toys, but I want someone else to confirm that. If it's in there, I think it's cute.

And why exactly was Fornay walking by a closed Wal-Mart at night during a rain storm? Was he coming from or going to some other store nearby that was open?Could he really have heard Novalle's screams,she was in the back part of the store at that time? I also think if a human being attempted to crash through a store window with only his body that he'd be severely injured,if not killed.Cute movie though.
