The General's Daughter

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Movies: Thriller/Horror: The General's Daughter

My nitpicks are as numerically proceeds:
1) Lt.Gen. Joseph Campbell is in a non-lecturing uniform and cadets are in non-graduate uniforms during the televised West Point graduation ceremony.
2) Warrant Officer Sara Sunhill enters Warrant Officer Paul Brenner's automobile after they initially encounter one another on the case, and somehow she manages to fasten her seatbelt without his ever noticing. She has it on as they are backing up.
3) Why do the villains always wait until the heroes come to retrieve forms of evidence (in this case, videocassettes of sexual activity) prior to the villains' own acquisition of these particular items?
4) Col. Robert Moore, during his initial interrogation by Warrant Officer Paul Brenner, goes through three cigarettes--the second being quite new and barely smoked.
5) Col. William Kent is ahead of the MP (Military Police) department, yet he is monitoring and securing the prison cells personally. A lieutenant or captain or above would assume this responsibility, considering Col. William Kent is management, not labor.

I saw this last week or so on Showtime and wasn't really looking for nits. The critics seemed to all pan it but it was ok to me. Not great, just ok. Not sure I'd recommend it, though. Maybe I'll read the book.

They say this movie is supposed to be based on a "true story". If anything like this ever happened (especially with a 4 star general on Time Life thinking about a presidential campaign)there would have benn mucho, awonga press coverage, everyone would have heard about it-just like every other time the US armed forces get caught for something.

NANJAO: since "Pulp Piction" John Travolta seems to grit and grind teeth harder and harder as he talks (I'm a rotten sholdier shir), it can't be me !!
