Mad Max trilogy

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Movies: Science Fiction/Fantasy: Mad Max trilogy

By Craig Rohloff on Saturday, February 02, 2002 - 8:38 am:

With the recent American release of Mad Max with its original Australian audio track (it's about time!), I plant to re-watch these films (which I haven't seen for over a decade).
Is there any interest in starting a board discussing these films?

Yes There is! One good one is In MM in the scene where the Leo Sayer & Peri from Dr Who look-a-likes are being chased. They are forced to skid off the road with bikers all around them but nothing else is on the road when they spin, otherwise they would have taken out a few of the bikers with them.

Well, at least there's one other person out there. Anybody else? As for my own postings to this topic, I won't be able to re-watch the films for at least a few weeks, so anything I have to add will be based upon old memories!
By the way, I just used the "create a conversation" button to start this, WITHOUT discussing it with the moderator...my apologies if I've violated protocol in any way.

Cool! (And thanks.)

Just heard on the radio this morning that Mel Gibson has been asked to star in a fourth Mad Max film. I haven't heard any details beyond that.

The title of the fourth Mad Max film appears to be Mad Max: Fury Road. It has a 2005 release date. Whether it actually gets made is another matter.

Boy, that IMDb entry doesn't sound too promising, does it?

Sounds even less promising now.
