Also saw this this week. A very cool movie that I won't spoil for anyone other than to say that the girl they got to play Velma hit the nail on the head as well as the shaggy character. They were apparently shooting for a pg rating and they got it. Most of the dialogue jokes went over the little kids heads but the sight gags went ok. After having grown up with the cartoon this had a lot of neat little inside jokes. Also a slight spoiler but Scrappy does appear in the movie but in a way that you might not expect.
