HBO's superb recreation of the 1961 Yankee baseball season, when the heat was on Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris for breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record. Superb perfs by Barry Pepper (Maris) and Thomas Jane (Mantle.) Great supporting cast includes Donald Moffat, Bruce McGill and Anthony Michael Hall (as Whitey Ford.) Check out Tiger Stadium, which doubled for the pre-rebuild Yankee Stadium, with a little help from paint and CGI. If you haven't seen this one, do so.
