Darn. My Internet Explorer crashed before I could perfect that post. That link will only take you to the entry page for The Matrix. After you enter it, click on "Breaking News," and scroll down and click the link for the "The Animatrix," which will be highlighted in green. It will provide trailer links for four different sizes and connection speeds.

The one for the largest one and highest speed is here.

What do you think of the other mini-movies, then ?

By Brian Webber on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 - 2:16 pm:

Haven't watched 'em yet. I've only seen Osiris, and Beyond (it was shown on MTV2 last month).

In the U.K they showed 5 of the 9 Animatrix epsiodes on commercial T.V (Osiris, 2nd Renissance 1 & 2, Kid's Story & World Record)over a 5 day period to coincide with The Matrix Reloaded promotioning. (It was the first week of the Matrix Reloaded at U.K Cinemas). However, Channel 5 showed said episodes around Midnight !

I have some nits!
1-In the Matrix movie, Morpheus said the EMP was their only weapon against the machine. However, the Osiris has gun turrets which seem just as efective in destroying them.
(However, the Osiris is bigger than the Neb and so may be better equipped.)

2-Morpheus said that they only had "bits and pieces" of information regarding the war. However, the Zion computer has a wealth of information about it.

By Markvthomas on Thursday, September 11, 2003 - 9:20 am:

1)The Osiris may have been launched after the Neb, & may have had upgraded weapon systems to cope with possible improved Sentinels (The Osiris was comissioned in 2077, according to the plate on the Bridge !)
2) This may be a clue to the true nature of the Matrix & What exactly happened within the Matrix timeline...

At the climax of World Record, Dan breifly breaks out of The Matrix. As this happens, he sees everything turn into numbers... Um, the code for the matrix isn't made out of english numbers, but Japanese letters. (also, he sees red instead of green, but the fluid in Dan's pod is red, so maybe he was seeing that too)

In Matriculated, the normal machines have red "eyes", whereas the ones that have been converted to the human cause have green ones. Why? How does their change of alegence alter the tint of the lenses?

By markvthomas on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 - 8:54 am:

It makes it easier to tell, which machines have been "Converted", otherwise...

It's a practical thing to have happen, sure (they wouldn't want any friendly fire, that's for sure), but how does it happen? That color can't be the result of some data that can be altered, there has to be a physical, tinted component somewhere that would need to be changed.
I guess the humans could have pulled the old "eyes" out and put in new, green ones. Unfortunately, there isn't time for anyone to make such adjustments on the "star" machine, yet it's still got nice green peepers at the climax.
