Pretty good. It's a somewhat cliched version of the Bohemian Teacher Encourages Students at Uptight School to Think Outside the Box archetype, but I liked it. The story was pretty good, the acting was good, I liked the characters, and I really liked the use of the art history angle as a metaphor for examining how we make the choices and judgments that we do. Kirsten Dunst and Maggie Gyllenhall were particularly good as the uptight traditionalist bi+ch and the promiscuous one respetively, and I was glad that everything wasn't perfect by the end of the movie.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the movie's plot and characters was what happened to Betty Warren (Kirsten Dunst) and Joan Brandwyn (Julia Stiles), which I won't spoil for you.

I thought that Katherine's romance with Bill Dunbar was superficial, and lacked much of a resolution, but all in all, it was an enjoyable one hour and fifty-two minutes.
