Great action movie, but plenty of nits

At the end of the movie, when the high speed
Rolls Royce engine powered bike (HSRREPB)
moves through Downtown LA at Mach Speeds,
how does the regular motorcycle keep ahead of it?

When the HSRREPB goes past the parked cars,
they bounce and their windows shatter, presumably
from the sonic boom the bike is creating. How
come the rider isn't killed or his bones
turned to splinters by it?

Can somebody really manage to steer a HSRREPB
at such speeds, especialy through traffic?
How does it maintain traction? I remember a
special on TV that featured rocket powered
"drag bikes", and If I recall correctly, the
bike had to stay on a straight course, or
the thing would very easily go out of control.

Finaly, how come the rider wasn't *killed* when he was thrown off it? And
