A nice sequel, but on to the nits...
The first movie led me to believe that the Muffin Man lived near Shrek or the castle. Both the Gingerbread Man & Lord F know where he lives. But we discover that he is in/near Far Far Away.
Perhaps just his wife was near Lord F.

Did noone in FFA know who Prince Charming was except his mom & the king? The Queen thought he was Shrek, and it seems so did everyone at the party. And why would Fairy Godmother need Charming to marry Fiona? He's a Prince! Or, is that just his name? Like the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince.

Notice that there's no mention of who fathered Prince Charming. And if he's a fairy (in the original sense of the word), shouldn't he have wings, too?

One glaring nit: It took Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey a long, long time to get to Far, Far Away. ("Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?")
However, once Ginge & Co. found that Shrek was in trouble, they somehow got themselves there nigh well instantaneously. It would have been nice to have a quick shot of them borrowing a witch's broom or some such to account for it.

That said, it was a marvelous movie, as good as, and maybe even better than, the original, which is extremely rare in the movie business. One article I saw said that Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots stole the show. I don't know that he went quite that far, but his scenes were great! I loved the still shot they did for the credits. And those big, sad eyes! Awwwwwww....

When Fiona would change, in both movies, to either self, she would still be in, what she was wearing, before she would change. I saw that this would happen, when she wore the wedding dress at the end of Shrek 1, and when she changed to her original self, in the middle of Shrek 2. Yet, when she and Shrek changed back to their Ogrer's selves, Fiona changed from the white dress she had on at the Wedding Ball in her Skinny self, to her original green dress, at the end. In fact, the same with Shrek. He's back in what he normally wears, yet as human Shrek, he was in a different outfit. I found that inconsistent.

Also, I wondered, getting the fact, that Fiona's dad, is originally a frog, hence the princess kissing her frog, and him becomming a handsom prince. I wonder, could Fiona's enchantment, the spell that had her locked in the tower for, could that be a gene side effect, because her father was originally a frog?

I have to admit, Antonil Bondaras's Puss n Boot's scenes did me in for me. ;)

A Fairy is an unusual creature in folklore, but the vast bulk do not have wings, sort of like how the majority of alien sightings do not include Little Green Men. Of course, Fairies are masters of glamour, a magic used to make things appear as they are not.

I got a Shrek 2 DVD-ROM which has a link to the Shrek 2 website and the Dreamworks website, plus some games and printable activities...but no movie! The package certainly implies there is a movie, goofs, commentary, the tech of Shrek 2, music video and a new surprise ending.
So where is all that stuff?
Fortunately I've kept the receipt.

I also got Shrek 1, and the movie played once with the audio, but when I play the movie again there's no audio! Why not?

Now sometimes my chair rolls over the cord for the headphones, but that hadn't been a problem before, but maybe it happened once too often--I went to Youtube and I can no longer get audio on Youtube. So maybe it is the headphones.

But that's no excuse for the Shrek 2 DVD not including the movie!

I hope you have some suggestions.

Thanks.

Does the DVD have printing on one side? If not, try flipping the DVD over to see if the movie is on the other side.
