All in all, a well done retelling, and a fun romp.
Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, and Oliver Platt look like they are having a wonderful time. Platt steals the film as Porthos. Tim Curry is deliciously evil as Richilieu.
Does Rebecca de Mornay do anything besides beautiful evil women?
About Rebecca DeMornay Im not sure but I certainly dont mind it. :-) But seriously I think this movie is one of the better tellings of the story. The way the main guys interact and the subtle and not so subtle way they show the three of them having worked and known each other so well. But then again having some good actors in the roles helped a lot.
This was a fun movie. Hated the pop theme song, though. (What is it with so many period movies having modern pop songs as their themes? I know, marketing. But still...)
Caught a nit. When D'Artagnan shows up for his duel with Athos, he seems surprised that Athos is a Musketeer.
Let's see... he met Athos in the Musketeer's Hall, very upset about the fact that they'd been disbanded. Seems to me that would be a hint about Athos' career...
