Gus Van Sant, what happen to you? Did you make "Good Will Hunting" and just stop giving a ••••? Is this the same film maker who brought me "Drugstore Cowboy?" Man, i thought "Psycho" was bad.

I usually enjoy indepentdent movies. You know, the qurky little movies the guy at the video stores never know what are a bout. Being a high school student, the topic of school shootings are of high intrest to me. But this film... This film made me really angry.

Instead of actually bothering to write intresting chracters, the film instead falls back on vauge, thin sterotypes. The shooters are protrayed as gay Nazis. They even play violent video games at one point in the film. The three "prepy" benge together in the school bathroom. The teachers are callous and uncaring. Come on, Van Sant? Are you even trying?

Also, how many times do I have to watch the same scene over and over again?

Also I'd like to note that it was a bad idea to use real high school kids over real actors. My theater department has better acting.

A wise man once said that in order to have a good story you have to have good characters. If the audinece doesn't care about the characters, then you don't have a story. Well, sorry "Elephant," but instead of breeding some sort of important thoughts in me you encourage apathy. I think now I actually give less of a •••• then i did before.

Wow, I hated this movie.
