I saw this movie over the weekend and I will admit, I loved it. As a fan of the first movie, I'd say that this one is just as good, if not better. It has its flaws, it's probably confusing to anyone who hasn't seen the first (though there is quite a lot of narration/flashback/exposition to help), but I'd say it has enough to distract its target audience: young males. Blood, action, guns, explosions, vampires, werewolves, and Kate Beckinsale back in the form fitting black bodysuit. Not for the entire film, though . The writing and acting isn't terrible either, particularly for a film of this sort. It doesn't have the performances of excellent genre films like Spiderman or Serenity, but I'd say it's fairly close. So anyway, if you liked the first one see this. On a big screen. Even if it's a dollar big screen.

On a related note to this movie. Did anyone see the Mythbusters episode where they showed that you cannot shoot your way through a floor like they did in this movie? Not really a nit but an observation of real world firepower.
