The white cross is a memorial for those who died in the REAL Pearl Harbor Attack.

So...how can the Japanese planes be flying over a momument that has not have been erected yet?

BTW---Vivian Vance plays the flight instructor in the Flying School Plane.

In the Flying School plane scene, the closeups of Ms. Vance are obviously shot in a stationary prop with a movie screen backdrop.


When Adm. Kimmel returns to HQ, he turns around to stare in horror at the carnage. Meanwhile, a couple of Navy men are casually walking around in the background, as if nothing is wrong.
