Bryan Singer says he'd direct such a film here. Me, I think a World's Finest film would be cool, but why does it have to be one against the other? Why would one of them have to be a villain? Why not do what Jeph Loeb did in the Superman/Batman comic? Me, I think the "Public Enemies" arc would make a great film. ("Absolute Power" was good too, but I'm not sure it would appeal to the uninitiated).
Any thoughts?
I know when they were developing this a few years back, I read that they wanted to do a story where we'd see both heroes tackling the problem from their own POV with their own methods, that they would come into conflict at one point, and in the end band together to overcome the greater threat. Kind of like how the cartoon did it, I guess. I've always been interested in seeing it done like that, rather than making one of them a "villain" of the movie.
Shooting begins this weekend in LA.
It's now been pushed ahead a year to May 6, 2016.
The Batsuit and Batmobile have been revealed.
Also, we have a title: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Cool logo at the official site, which is now up.
I'm sure we've all seen the Comic Con news by now, right?
There was the closeup profile shot of Batman.
Even better, we got a first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
A teaser clip showed Batman wearing some The Dark Knight Returns-style armor.
Finally, WB moved the date from the same weekend as the next Captain America film to... March? March 25, 2016. Huh.
Also in that link are DC comics release dates through 2020, though no titles yet.
And every image I already linked. I guess I could have saved time with that.
This film was released theatrically in the U.S. on March 25, 2016, and will premiere on HBO November 26, 2016.
