This was a 2-2 hour part miniseries which starred Donna Mills, Robert Wagner, Dennis Christopher, Steven Bauer, and James Handy. It was about the story Joyce Lukezick who was falsely convicted of a double 1st degree murder, a well publicised case at the beginning of the 1980's. There was also an episode of City Confidential on A&E about it.
OK, here's a few problems-the documentary and the book say that Ron Lukezick never once visited his wife in jail yet the TV Movie shows him visit her twice. The documentary and the book say she faced the electric chair yet the TV Movie said she was facing the gas chamber. Donna Mills doesn't look anything like Joyce Lukezick, Robert Wagner didn't look anything like Ron Lukezick, and Steven Bauer (a native Cuban) sure as hell didn't look anything like the LEO Dan Ryan. Oh and screwups get better, the VHS video release which I recently bought from Amazon.com (partly because I've had a crush on Donna Mills since I was 5 years old) consists of only one standard T-120 cassette which is less than 2 hours long ! It contains 2 nude scenes which were added on to the film, and a substantial number of other important scenes were deleted out. Since it's original airing on ABC in 1990 it has been shown in it's entirety on Lifetime several times in the late 1990's and early 2000's and it is the only way you will see the whole movie ...
