This was a nice TV disaster movie, that was fairly realistic and not over the top unlike most of todays TV disaster films, except maybe for the photographic film that can detect faults that are about to give. The most memorable scene was when the man, held prisoner in a tiny, run down desert town was ordered to fix up "Santa's village", a surrealistic, depressing, broken place in the middle of this dusty wasteland that was the town`s main "attraction". As the guy was getting set to work, they played this harsh, dramatic Christmas jingle that added to the overall erriness to the scene! Very well done, and something not likely would be seen today. When the quake hits, and everyone escapes the town, the giant wooden Santa takes a dive.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of "The Day the Earth Moved"? It doesn't matter if it's VHS, DVD, film-on-a-reel, or whatever. Or, if anyone knows if it's ever shown on TV (cable or broadcast), that would be a big help too! I was about 7 years old when I first saw this movie, and I've been searching for it for years. Please help! THANKS!!
I too would like to know where I cam find a copy
