I thought the 2002 version of "Solaris" was well done. In the beginning, I thought it might be overly dreary. It turned out to be quite an intriguing film. It was genuinely refreshing to watch a scifi movie aimed at a more adult audience. It raised some interesting ethical questions, such as would it be acceptable to kill a sentient replica of someone. The replica obviously wouldn't be the "real" person, but would it be entitled to its own life?
Two hours of my life I'll never have back.
