Some nits from "Ben-Hur"
At the very beginning the main overlay says,
"ANNO DOMINI"
BZZZZZ!!!!
It wasn't "Anno Domini" until AFTER the Nativity (which happens about 5 minutes into the movie before the opening credits roll.)
Also...Mary & Joseph did NOT go into Jerusalem to be taxed...they went into Bethlehem.
(It sure was nice to get those big nits out of the way at the beginning of the movie, wasn't it?)
Also after Jesus gives Ben-Hur the water, a guard starts yelling at him to "Get moving"...but his words don't match his mouth...I THINK he said, "Back in line" or something like that, it's hard to tell...but it wasn't "Get moving"
Lastly, there is NO scriptural reference to any of the wise men's names...much less "Baltezar."
The chariot race RULES!
Lastly, there is NO scriptural reference to any of the wise men's names...much less "Baltezar."
If their is no scripture reference to their names it's not a nit because you can't prove that it wasn't his name.
Baltezar? Bulbasaur!
The Chariot Race features a very famous nit, in one scene a camera car (A red Fiat 600?) can be seen. Also I've been told a coke bottle is visible in one shot, which is a double nit because Coca Cola was not available in Italy until the early 1960s. I presume most of the filming was in Italy, with the chariot race in Hollwood
Not to mention that Esther...a Jewish woman has a flowing Irish accent!
In the movie "Private Parts" (a much better movie than I expected, BTW) Howard Stern is shown clean shaven during his DJ job in Washington. I believe that he had his mustache while he was working in D.C. He had the mustache for his first few years in New York, and also had it in his brief appearance in the very obscure, ultra-low-budget pic "Ryder P.I."
Baba-Booey! Baba-Booey! Baba-Booey!
It was actually No Water for Him!!!!!, I read it in Chuck's bio.
Is Mr. Leslie from Tos in there somewhere?
