A League Of Their Own

A wonderfully entertaining movie, concerning two sisters, Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller (played by Geena Davis and Lori Petty) who played baseball in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War II.
Most of the film is a flashback. In the framing story, we see the older Dottie preparing for and attending a ceremony honoring women in baseball at the Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. My nit here is that the Women in Baseball exhibit depicted here is much larger than the actual exhibit was when I visited the Hall in the fall of 2000. (Of course, this was nine years after the film was made, and the exhibit could have been larger when the film was in release.)
Personal Note: The Hall Of Fame is a fabulous place, well worth the trip to Cooperstown. Even if you're not an extreme fan, you'll find something of interest there.

The scene at the end makes it appear as if Dottie and Kit hadn't seen each other since their baseball days.

I find that hard to believe. There was Kit's wedding, for one thing (she had grandchildren). And you don't abandon family like that (given that they split on good terms after the championshi game).
