Jerry Maguire (1996):

During a montage of Rod Tidwell's (Cuba Gooding, Jr.'s) season with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, we see the Cardinals (NFC East division) playing the Pittsburgh Steelers (AFC Central division) in one game and the Indianapolis Colts (AFC East division) in another game. In real life, under the NFL's regular season scheduling formula, it would not have been possible for the Cardinals to play both the Steelers and Colts in the same regular season in 1996, or in any NFL season from 1978 through 2001.

From 1978 through 1994, when the NFL had 28 teams, most NFL teams played four interconference games vs. four teams from one non-conference division. The exception was the 5th place team from each of the four 5-team NFL divisions (AFC East, AFC West, NFC East, and NFC Central). Instead, each of those teams played two games vs. the other 5th place team in its conference, and one game vs. each of the two 5th place teams from the other conference. Since the AFC Central was a 4-team division before 1995, from 1978 through 1994 there would never have been a circumstance in which an NFC team would play a regular season game vs. an AFC East (or West) division team AND an AFC Central division team. From 1995 through 2001, when the NFL had 30 to 31 teams, each NFL team played all (in most cases four, but in some cases three) of its interconference games vs. four teams from one non-conference division. So in no NFL season from 1978 through 2001 would it have been possible for the Cardinals to play both the Steelers and the Colts, even if the Cardinals had finished in 5th place in the NFC East division the previous season.
