The Prince of Tides

At the very end of the movie, we see Tom Wingo (Nick Nolte) driving across a bridge with the convertible top down. In a voiceover, he describes the feeling of driving home to Charleston every day after teaching high school.

Problem: he is hopelessly lost...the bridge goes from Ribaut Road on the line between Port Royal and Beaufort, SC, to Lady's Island, across the Beaufort River. He is about an hour+ drive SOUTH of Charleston (where he claims to be headed) and going the entirely wrong direction - towards the outer islands of the Lowcountry, instead of towards Route 17 to Charleston. he may be the Prince of Tides, but he's the Fool of the Road!
