The Notebook
An OK chick flick from the summer of 2004, where an elderly man (James Garner) reads a story of two young lovers to his Alzheimer's stricken wife (Gena Rowlands.) Directed by Ms. Rowland's son, Nick Cassavetes.
The gimmick of this film is pretty obvious, but I won't spoil it here.
In one scene, Garner's eyeglasses change from his distance specs to his reading glasses - without him switching them.
Ryan Gosling's hair is too long for the period; more '70's than '40's.
