In the 1990 film The Two Jakes there is a scene with Jack Nicholson (who played Jake Gittes) and Madeline Stowe in Gittes' office. Watch the position of Stowe's right hand. It changes from shot to shot. Sometimes, it's up by her face, sometimes it's down. Nicholson (who directed the pic) or the script (or scpipt-sorry, John) supervisor should have known better.
Nicholson reprises his Jake Gittes character from Chinatown here. Yet there is no trace of a scar from the slicing the "midget" (played by Chinatown's director Roman Polanski) gave him in the original film for being "nosey". A cut like that one should have left a probably permanent scar once the cut heals.
