Read about it here.
As someone who read the book Gump & Co., Winston Groom's sequel to Forrest Gump, I don't think it would make a good movie. It was an okay read, but I don't know if I could suspend my disbelief for it on the big screen. It was way too cutesy and self-referential, undid some of the happy endings of the first film, I didn't buy the child genius angle of Forrest Jr., etc. Of course, they made changes in adapting the first book, so maybe they could do so with this one, but they'd have to be really fundamental ones that would essentially change the book as a whole, I think. Moreover, I don't think the sequel book was necessary. It didn't add anything to the story as concluded by the first movie, and sort turned it into a disappointing self-parody.
But hey, who knows, maybe they can pull it off.
Hanks is now too old for FG2 and Gary Sinise's fee would be too high.
In the first Forrest Gump movie
did Jenny die from AIDS ?
Yes.
Some argue that it could also have been Hepatitis C, which was equally unclassified in 1981 and was often spread by drug use.
JD, so which was it AIDS or
Hepatitis C ?
Either. It is never specified.
