From cbr.com, comes the surprising announcement that Zachary Levi, a.k.a. Chuck from NBC's 'Chuck', will fill the roll of Shazam, a.k.a. the original Captain Marvel...
"The actor took to Instagram to explain he is “honored and greatly humbled to be a part of the [DC Universe].” His statement went on to prove that he’s not taking this opportunity for granted, as he’s “beside myself with gratitude, not only for this opportunity, but also the incredible outpouring of love and support from so many of you out there in the world.”
Showing off some of the wit and humor that undoubtedly won him the role, he closed his statement out with “now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be in the gym for the rest of forever.” It was just revealed that the actor is undergoing workouts that last up to four hours in length, to get into the idealistic physical form of the DC Comics superhero."
This is a terrific movie, IMO.
