I read today that "UNDERDOG" is coming to the big screen...but it won't be the cartoon version. It'll be a REAL DOG playing the part. TPTB will use CGI & computer animation to make the dog talk, walk, etc.
Whoever is making this film obviously has NO RESPECT to the 1960's cartoon. Otherwise he'd taken the cartoon character and bring it to life using PIXAR technology...which would be better...IMHO
John, please read my 10.1.06 1:22 am post on the Moderator Archives board, under the sections "Sequels, Remakes & Adaptations", "Recurring Nits, Patterns, Clichés, & Trivia", and "Roundtable Discussions" as they pertain to the creation of new boards. Thanks.

Okay, I've posted the passages in question on the Main board, so you can read it there if you want.
The post is actually 10.31.2006, not 10.1.
Ack. Thanks, Josh.
Sorry, Luigi. I must've skimmed over it rather than actually reading it.
That'll be thirty lashes for you, sir.
Underdog should not be live-action. It should be animated... poorly.
And voiced by Wally Cox - or someone impersonating Mr. Peepers. Jason Lee is just not a good substitute.
