FunnyOrDie.com currently has a video of Jerry O'Connell spoofing the videos of Tom Cruise that have been making the Net rounds lately.

Oh my god.

I loved this video, and here's why:

(Highlight the rest to read, and only after you watch the video, because it's a Spoiler!)

This video was hilarious. The reason it was hilarious is because it only became clear to me that it was supposed to be a funny video in its second half! The first clue was the unused Crash poster. It looked so godawful, and unprofessional, that I was like, "What--?" Then, as the video continued, and I saw that the heads Berliner was using to envision the Righteous Kill poster were completely inappropriate for the tone of that film,* I got my first inkling that this was a joke. Of course, it became obvious when we saw how weird Berliner got in the process of making the poster. This is what made it so great: The video lures you in, making you think it's about an interesting piece of movie Unsung Movie Industry Hero trivia, and then only zings you near the end that it's a joke! I loved it! I didn't even notice the Funny or Die label in the lower left corner of the video player until after I realized it was humor.

Now all I'm wondering is this Gavin Berliner guy is just an actor, or if he really is the designer of all those posters, and decided to spoof himself.

*In retrospect, I realize he might've just used those two for placement's sake, as the final heads are indeed appropriate for that film, so it may have alerted me only inadvertently.
