Well let's hope it's better than the first one. Sadly, it seems Disney's interference with Pixar means that the scripts will get worse and worse. The fact that they have not only a second cars movie but a third Toy Story means that the previous held belief of no sequels by the Pixar team has well and truly gone out the window.
And yes, I know there was Toy Story 2 but at the time the producers always believed it was necessary to tell another good hearty story with the same characters and the result was better than the first one.
What I'm sensing is that the animation quality won't dip but the potency of the scripts, which in many people's opinions is what set Pixar above the rest, will drop dramatically.
Teaser. The premise seems rather unlike what one would expect for a Cars movie, but whatever.
Trailer.
Can someone explain to me how those symbols on the restroom doors work?
Just hazarding a guess but I reckon it has something to do with the way the tires are leaning or what is on top of the car (the "female" car has two lumps at the top).
Trailer 4.
This gives a few more details as to the case of mistaken identity that forms the basis of the plot, as well as what may appear to be Mater's character arc.
Saw it yesterday. Meh. There's only so much Larry the Cable Guy I can take, and promoting him to star just doesn't work for me.
The best part is the trailer for "Brave".
