This three-part, 6 hour miniseries is running this week on the Sci-fi channel. I found it to be surprisingly entertaining, even though I had little interest in the Bermuda Triangle. The opening with the CGI Spanish ships was spectacular, as was the sinking of the Japanese whaling ship. The characters are actually interesting too. It's kinda funny, but the psychic seems to be the most level-headed one of the four researchers.
Anyway, after the exruciatingly awful Category 7 miniseries on CBS, that this series is fairly good is a welcome change.
The Triangle
Just before the first iteration of The Event, Stan is watching the local news. It's station KPX. But they're in Miami, and KPX is a station west of the Mississippi. A Miami station would start with W.
The Triangle
When Bruce and Emily go up in the meterology plane, Bruce contacts the tower, and identifies his plane as "W-S-something". This is incorrect. To avoid confusion between similar sounding letters, aviation uses the phonetic alphabet. He should have identified himself as "Whiskey-Sierra-something".
The Triangle
NANJAO - Nice tribute to All Good Things(TNG), where the cataclysmic event reverberates into the past.
Tried this, but soon bailed. The plot was incomprehensible.
