Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Movies: Comedy: Zack and Miri Make a Porno

I saw this film yesterday. I saw the final fifteen minutes of it in Albuquerque on June 19th, and from the audience's reaction, the questionnaires in the male 18-25 demographic block that I tabulated myself, and the critic reviews that I've read of late, I had good hopes that it would be good. But I thought that it was overly profane and raunchy for the sake of being profane and raunchy, and the love story at the heart of the film that supposedly justified it all did not, as it was trite and overrated. Tisha Campbell-Martin's character was as annoying as hell in the few minutes she was onscreen as she appeared to be back in June.

One good thing about this film: I don't have to go into Nitcentral's Administration area to put it in alphabetical order after starting the board for it! :-)

---NITS:
How in the work did that drunk guy get into the coffee shop during filming? What, they went through the trouble of putting up those curtains to keep anyone outside from seeing what they were doing, but they forgot to lock the door? Hell, Zack and Delaney should've remembered to do this simply because they should've been in the habit of doing so because they worked there!

At the end of the film, three months after Zack quit the project and the coffee shop, he sees Delaney, who tells him that he's "Oprah rich", saying that the Post Office settled with him for $160 million. Huh? What was this about? I did go to the bathroom during the film for just a couple of minutes during what I hoped would be a scene in which I wouldn't miss anything too important; was there something in that scene that established what they were talking about here? What problem did he have with the Post Office?

Opening scene, with Delaney and Mr. Surya.

The problem with the Post Office is never specified. And I don't think it was ever explicitly stated as 160Million, it was 160 big ones.

Yeah, I know. I remember now that when I came back from the bathroom, it was the scene in which Mr. Surya said that he would install the surveillance equipment, but that wasn't the opening scene of the film.
