Heh heh, the Cheshire Hatter, which may be the combination of the best two characters ever.
Finally got around to seeing this and it's a bit... uneven. Particularly the first half where the plot just jumps from place to place without really making much of an effort for coherence. It gels a little better as the end gets closer as it becomes a simpler resist-the-tyrant and hero-emerging story.
IIRC, the shot in the trailer of the Cheshire cat appearing with his head only flying toward the camera does not appear in the film.
Somehow, when Alice first shrinks and grows in a redoing of the classic Eat Me/Drink Me scene, she has an outfit that changes size with her, though her dress from the outside world does not. For some reason, after running into the Hatter, the dress no longer changes with her and he has to make her a new one for her smaller size. I don't know, maybe actually passing through the door negated that dress's special properties or something.
