Who has seen this besides me and wonder if freedom of expression is being taken away from us?
BTW, I never really cared for the Chicks' style of music, but they are a lot better than your average country act, that's for sure!
I haven't seen the documentary but remember the actual events quite well. Clear Channel Communications (The Texas based radio giant) basically took them off of the air on all of their 1,300 radio stations and even sponsored CD burnings and the like. I did like their song made a few years after the events called "Not Ready to Make Nice" where they basically told their detractors "F-You" which I found quite refreshing compared to so many entertainers who respond to controversies by backpedaling and offering mealy-mouthed insincere apologies.
I saw it. It was pretty good. I fell in love with their song "Not Ready to Make Nice" as a result.
