Slightly. IIRC, it was produced by the "Master of Disaster" himself, Irwin Allen. With his usual "all-star cast". Some of whom, like Red Buttons, were veterans of his disaster flicks. This might have been Allen's last bite at the show-business apple before his death.

If it's the one I'm recalling, then the writer who adapted it completely missed the point. A whiny, "I wanna go home!" Alice is very jarring.

Did anyone actually like Natalie Gregory's performance?

She was cast as Alice because she was already under contract to Columbia Pictures Television. Apparently someone at Columbia tried to offer the role to Heather O'Rourke of Poltergeist fame but when the higher-ups found out that Heather cost a lot of cash, they tried to bully her into accepting a lower fee. Heather decided to walk and Columbia turned to a little girl they had under contract and who could be made to do the miniseries.
