The movie opens on a submarine we are told is travelling in the Marianas Trench. A short time later, the sub's commander says that they are investigating an S.O.S. beacon in the Atlantic. The Marianas Trench is not in the Atlantic, it's in the Pacific.

After prince Orm kills Queen Atlanna, her body is shown slowly floating to the top of the throne room, dramatically trailing blood behind it. However, since she has no air in her lungs, she really should have been sinking instead.

Initiating his assault on the surface world, Prince Orm unleashes a mega tsunami toward the east coast of the united states. This awesome first strike will devastate the coast and kill millions. That is, it would have if Orm hadn't stopped the wave short of crashing on land and merely used it as a curtain for a dramatic reveal of himself and his army. The man's ego and stupidity know no limits.

Speaking of tsunami, soldiers station themselves at Metropolis's shoreline, aiming their guns and tanks at the wave. What were they expecting to accomplish by doing that? Shooting the wave would not have slowed it in any way, and they couldn't possibly have known that it was concealing an entire army at that point.

Loved how Aquaman summoned a great white shark to summarily dispose of Black Manta who was pompously boasting of his imminent victory instead of just shooting Aquaman. Won't these villains ever learn?
