When Joy and Sadness first meet Bing-Bong, he says that "Shapewise", he's part cat, part elephant, and part dolphin. The first two animals are indicated by his cat's tail and elephant's trunk. But when Sadness asks how he's part dolphin, he flaps his arms and squeaks out dolphin calls. But he said that he was these things shapewise. What he's doing is vocalizing a dolphin, which has nothing to do with his shape.

When Riley dreams, the dream production has her dream that her teeth are falling out. The prop guy who drops the prop "teeth" holds his hand above the camera lens and then drops the teeth in front of it. But the camera represents the person's line of sight. A person can't "see" their own teeth falling out; they can only look down to where they've fallen. By holding the teeth above the camera, the visual created by this is that of teeth falling down in front of Riley, from a point above her head. Then again, it is a dream....

Joy and Sadness pursue Bing-Bong in Riley's subconscious, which Sadness explains to Joy is where they put all the "troublemakers". They are then captured by two security guards, and locked in a chamber that Sadness says is where all of Riley's "darkest fears" are kept. They see giant stalks of broccoli. But broccoli isn't a "fear" of Riley's, let alone a "darkest" one. It's simply something that she dislikes.
