This 1976 version of The Call of the Wild was written by James Dickey and four years earlier he wrote the movie Deliverance in 1972 based on his novel of the same name.
This Call of the Wild has been described by Dickey’s son Christopher as the Deliverance version f the of it.
I saw Deliverance just before seeing this version of The Call of the Wild and the comparison stands.
This version is quite enjoyable including Lorne Greene’s narration.
