Released in 1950, Last Holiday starred Alec Guinness.
Guinness plays George Bird who has a check-up with his physician but is told that he has a terminal disease and that he has a few weeks to live.
This all leads to the twist as the film near its end but then to a very tragic irony of a conclusion.
A very grim film.
