The Sheriff uses the term "turncoat". (IIRC) That term did not exist until the American Revolution.

He also used the term "thug" a few centuries early as well. The word thug comes from Thugee, a nasty cult that once existed in India (the guys Indiana Jones battled in Temple Of Doom).

Mind you, many a movie has done this, used a word that did not exist at the time said movie was set in.

Heck, Robin Hood and Will Scarlett talked like Americans, even though this movie takes place centuries before the U.S. even existed.
