Released in 1974, Phantom of the Paradise is a rock musical.
As indicated in its title it takes its inspiration from Phantom of the Opera.
It also adapts loosely other works including The Picture of Dorian Gray & Faust.
Overall it is not bad but it is hardly the greatest musical I have ever seen and I quite like Jessica Harper as the female protagonist Phoenix.
