The Tomorrow War

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Movies: Science Fiction/Fantasy: The Tomorrow War
By Matthew See (Matthew_see) on Saturday, August 07, 2021 - 10:24 am:

Released in 2021, The Tomorrow War stars Chris Pratt.
Pratt is Dan Forester, a biology teacher and former Green Beret in December 2022 when soldiers from 2051 came to this time and making their presence known during broadcast of the World Cup.
These future soldiers explained a war between humanity and an alien species in their time and came to 2022 to recruit soldiers in this time.
Dan gets drafted to this future war and is a surprise that in this future he meets the Yvonne Strahovski character and what she means to him.
Not bad overall although I feel the movie gets padded after the sequence with the future war was done and explored another aspect of the story afterwards.
Definitely felt padded since this movie ran for 138 minutes.

I have; there was an ad for it at a traffic light I get stuck at frequently. The flick is currently streaming on Amazon Prime; I don't know if it got a theatrical release.

I don't know if it got a theatrical release.

It was supposed to have one, but Covid put an end to that.
