Aka Scream 5 , I saw the trailer, looks good

Another franchise that needs no more sequels.

This has been described as a requel meaning that it is both a sequel to the previous films and a reboot of Scream at the same time. The latter reason is why it is simply called Scream.

This introduced new characters as well as bringing back old characters.

This is the first Scream film not directed by Wes Craven who had died in 2015 and this film is dedicated to him.

Overall an enjoyable film in introducing the new characters and incorporating the said old ones.

Certainly a shocker how the identity of the perpetrators got revealed and more shocking on what happened to one of the old characters.

If it includes characters from the previous movies then it's not a reboot, no matte what the filmmakers say.

To me a reboot is just that, a complete start over, with no connection, aside from the name, to the original movie(s).

Some reboots do include actors from the original movie(s), but said actors play totally different characters.
