The first entry with Robert Pattinson as The Batman / Bruce Wayne.
And get ready for a long one-- it's 2 hours and 55 minutes long!
Do we really need another Batman movie?
Chris Nolan's Dark Knight movies did the story pretty well. They'll never be topped, IMO.
Apparently it's true that vampires can turn into bats.
It's already been TEN years since Nolan's third movie, 'The Dark Knight Rises' was released.
And if Ben Affleck had just held onto the role, this would have just been a continuation of the main DC movie universe.
We're back to square one with Pattinson now.
My question stands.
And the answer is.....................
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Regis, that's my final answer.
Of course, it will be audience that will decide.
DC has been bit and miss with the movies. For every Aquaman, there is a Dawn Of Justice.
This pic will be available for streaming on HBO Max this April 19. With plays on HBO beginning a few days later. More here.
And you might want to clear your schedule-- it's just under 3 hours long.
I found it to be very good, and kept my attention through most of it. Sure, it could have had about 20 minutes chopped off here and there, but it's a bit of fresh take on the franchise.
I gotta wonder, though, what Ben Afleck's solo Batman movie would have been like and what story it would have told? Not this one, because it's clearly stated that Batman has only been around for 2 years (and is younger than Afleck's version), while Aleck's Batman had been around many years.
Wonder if Pattinson took this role to help him get away from Twilight.
It needed 45 minutes choppedout of it. Gods this thing was boring.
