MTV Movie Awards

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Movies: The Cutting Room Floor (The Movies Kitchen Sink): Movie Lists, Patterns, and Trends: MTV Movie Awards
By Brian Webber on Tuesday, April 18, 2000 - 2:26 pm:

My Thoughts:

Best Picture: American Beauty will probably take this one too, though with this crowd, I'd say that The Matrix (good movie) and The Sixth Sense (even better than The Matirx) have just as good a chance.

Best Male Performance: Jim Carrey probably.

Best Female Perfromance: I enjoyed Scream 3, but it wasn't as good as the first two so Neve probably won't get this one. The only other movie on that list I saw was Double Jeopardy, so I'll say Ashley Judd.

Best Comedic: For me, it's a toss up between Meyers and Posey, but Meyers will probably win.

Best Duo: The Sixth Sense or The Matrix

Best Villian: Either Gellar or Park.

Breakthrough Male: Either Osment or Duncan.

Breakthrough Female: Hillary Swank, hands down.

Musical Performance: South Park should cinch this one. I love that song. I know the whole thing by heart, and my Grandmother and I sing it often.

Best Kiss: Gellar and Blair.

Best Fight: Definately Star Wars.

Best Action Secene: Well, my fave is the Blair Witch Project, but the voters will more than likely choose the Pod Race from Star Wars.
