I think it be interesting if we go and list some of the differences between the subbed and dubbed versions.

For instance in the dub Asuka calls Rei "Wonder
Girl" but in the sub she refers to her as being
"Miss Perfect" and "Teacher's Pet".
In the episode:The Day Tokyo-3 Stood Still in the scene where the children are crawling through the duct Asuka tells Shinji not to peek up her skirt,but in the sub she tells him simply not to look up.
Also in the same scene she's shown kicking Shinji in the face when she thinks he's looking and keeps calling him,"Baka!" or "Stupid!"

When Misato and Kaji are stuck in the elevator in the same episode in the dub she warns him not to look up her skirt as she tries to open the emergency hatch,however in the sub the wording is such to imply that that is preciously what he has been doing.

In the following episode:She Said,"Don't Let Your
Hatred Get The Better Of You" in the dub Rei says she doesn't EAT meat but in the sub she says she doesn't LIKE meat.
When they're having the party to celebrate Misato's promtion to Major in the dub Kensuke credits everyone for the idea but in the sub he says that it was his idea.

Also in the sub when Misato promises to treat the kids to a meal when they defeat the Angel she looks into her purse and mutters about it being before payday.
