The Maggie’s Redress:
Series opener.
Good beginning to the series with the murder of a nun.
Not bad seeing Houdini and Doyle sparring with each other in this their first case together as they capably assisted by Constable Adelaide Stratton as their police liaison.
Pretty good of when the killer was revealed.

Bedlam:
Episode 7.
A superb episode in which the team visits the infamous Bedlam for their latest case.
The highlight of this episode is Doyle being in Bedlam in a dream and having to face his late father in it.

Strigoi:
Antepenultimate episode.
Doyle helps his friend Dracula creator Bram Stoker in the case here and in real life there were indeed friends.
So this episode has the portrayal of three real life legends Houdini, Doyle and Stoker.
A pretty good episode about the impact Dracula has on fans and the secret Stoker has about himself.
Sad that Houdini’s mother dies at the end.

The Pall of LaPier:
Series finale.
Intriguing case about almost everyone in a town dying simultaneously with no apparent cause and which ultimately leads to them thwarting the assassination of US President William McKinley.
Evidently the team weren’t around to prevent President McKinley’s more successful assassination.
Frustrating knowing that this is the final episode the series ends on a cliffhanger about whether Houdini is seeing his dead mother for real.
