PLOT SUMMARY: Sherlock teams up with his portly brother Mycroft to investigate the strange case of a man who has been hired by criminals to be a translator between them and their captive.
By kerriem. on Monday, June 18, 2001 - 7:12 pm: I love this story. For sheer dramatic tension, I think it even surpasses 'The Speckled Band'. Certainly it features some of the most memorable touches in all the Canon, including a giggling evil mastermind and his starving victim with his face hidden in sticking-plaster.
Plus of course we get to meet the one and only Mycroft Holmes, a memorable character in his own right!
